Expertise and Background
Family Nurse Practitioner Randell Smith has a passion for holistic and preventative care. Her experience includes work with patients in hospital settings, as well as walk-in and primary care clinics.
NP Smith says it’s fulfilling to serve patients in community health centers, where health care teams can make a difference working with entire families.
“It’s rewarding, especially in rural health clinics, to be a resource and point person for primary health care. Developing relationships with patients is really important to me– empathizing, helping people feel safe and comfortable coming in for any reason,” said Smith.
A member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, NP Smith participated in the AIHM: Global Practitioners United in Health and Healing conferences in 2015 and 2017. She’s volunteered for community service projects such as the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and The Greater Boston Food Bank.
Originally from New Jersey, NP Smith has spent many years traveling the country, completing undergraduate studies in Washington, D.C., and nursing degrees in New York. She and her boyfriend Jarrett relocated to the Oregon Coast from San Diego, California in 2016. They live in North Bend with their dog Jackie. NP Smith appreciates the beauty and seasonal variety of Western Oregon. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, live music, traveling, reading, healthy cooking, and exploring all that the Oregon Coast has to offer.
