Expertise and Background
Physician Assistant Andrew Fraser has worked with patients and health professionals in a variety of primary care and specialty clinic settings in Oregon, including two rotations with the Oregon Health and Science University Campus for Rural Health – South Coast.
PA Fraser believes that comprehensive, compassionate health care can improve the wellbeing of entire communities and is committed to improving access to health and social services within Coos County. He considers patients’ lifestyles and overall health experiences, especially when serving patients who may deal with stress as a result of health issues.
“Clinical goals fall by the wayside if you aren’t able to have trusting conversations about anxiety and fears about your health. I really like building relationships and having conversations and honest discussion around wellness goals,” he said.
Fraser earned multiple OHSU grants and scholarships, including the Scholars for a Healthy Oregon Initiative Scholarship and Physician Assistant Leadership and Service Scholarship. He has participated in and co-led a variety of community service projects aimed at improving health care equity and patient access to care.
