Before joining the team at Coast Community Health Center as Chief of Process, Jamie Schultz has held similar positions as Quality Process Improvement Engineer for a 120-bed community hospital and Chief Quality Administrator of an FQHC of similar size to CCHC since her move to the Southern Coast of Oregon. Prior to moving to Oregon, she was the Rural Hospital Improvement Coordinator and lean coach at the Montana Hospital Association (MHA) for 6 years.

The primary focus of her work has been developing quality programs and performing improvement projects in the healthcare field, first for the 48 Critical Access Hospitals across Montana and then directly in a clinical and hospital setting.  In addition to providing tools and resources for clinical quality improvement & patient safety and satisfaction, she has successfully implemented projects that include: improvement of hospital financial & operational performance, population health management, inventory management, payment models/reimbursement program development and compliance, clinic expansion & remodel, and the upgrade/redesign of multiple IT and communication systems.

Jamie completed her Master’s in Industrial & Management Systems Engineering at Montana State University in May 2014, with a program focused on healthcare process improvement.  Subsequently she has received her CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) Certification in January, 2018 and a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma Healthcare in 2022.
