The Bandon Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Small Business Fair April 29th at the Barn Community Event Center.  The event featured businesses in variety of avenues from restaurants, shops, and breweries to fitness, healthcare, and landscaping.  Coast Community Health center staff presented information about our various outreach services and specifically highlighted our newest provider, Valerie Lodge.

Visitors to the Coast Community table were pleased to discover that we serve a variety of ages at the Health Center.  Mother of 3, Kambria Swenson, enjoyed the fresh fruit provided and appreciated that the Health Center offers providers who specialize in care for both women and children.  Other visitors shared stories of how they have received help from our SHIBA volunteers, and were interested to learn of Veteran’s assistance offered by our Outreach Staff.

A special coincidence for Coast Community Health Center was having our booth near Board Chairwoman, Beth Wood, and Board Member Emily Bright.  Beth is co-owner of  Bandon Mercantile which has been serving the Bandon community for over 30 years.  Emily is the owner of Auntie Em’s Floral and Gifts which recently relocated to the Continuum Center in Old Town Bandon.  Coast Community Health Center is proud to serve alongside such wonderful volunteers who add great value in their administration of this organization.

The event culminated with a gift basket raffle donated by Coast Community Health Center.  The lucky winner was a recipient of an insulated water flask, first aid supplies, as well as skin care products!  The Bandon Chamber of Commerce put on a fun event which the entire community enjoyed, and Coast Community Health Center was proud to support.
