Our Board Development Committee ensures board membership, recruitment and retention is maximized with the best possible board members to support Coast Community Health Center.

    • Meets with prospective board members and recommends candidates to the board
    • Recommends a slate of officers to the board
    • Conducts orientation sessions for new board members and organizes training sessions for the entire board in conjunction with the executive director

Our Finance and Budget Committee reviews budgets, initially proposed by staff, to help develop appropriate procedures for budget preparations and consistency between the budget and the organization's goals.

    • Reports to the board any financial irregularities, concerns, opportunities; and recommends financial guidelines
    • Works closely with the finance director to design financial reports and ensure that reports are accurate and timely
    • Oversees short and long-term investments

    • Recommends selection of the auditor
    • Provides guidance to the Finance/Executive board directors on financial priorities and areas of concern

Our Fundraising Committee provides input and guidance into development of the annual fundraising campaign; for the development, review, and reporting of fundraising, including grant preparation and reporting.

    • Helps plan and implement campaigns to solicit funds from local, regional, state and national foundations
    • Provides recommendation to the board for prepared grant applications

Our Community Engagement and Outreach Committee works to advance community awareness and engagement; promotes a positive image of Coast Community Health Center.

    • Coordinates and supports initiatives for public relations, website development, communications and marketing
    • Promotes appeal through engagement with the community by coordinating an annual open house, tours, press events
    • Is responsible for maintaining and growing our network of supporters and developing opportunities for donor, volunteers and local/regional press to increase exposure of the clinic in the region

Our Health Services and Quality Committee advances the organization’s mission, program goals, and concept of quality. The committee is lead by our medical director, who assumes responsibility for the quality of health services within the health center, and is supported by staff who directly affect services or have decision making responsibility.

    • Reports to the board as quality performance goals are achieved and on areas identified for improvement, with appropriate corrective action steps
    • Assess policy and procedures pertaining to clinical measures, staffing credentials, patient satisfaction, staff satisfaction, and other operational topics

The North Curry County Committee works to support health services for the residents in our North Curry service area, including Langlois, Sixes, Port Orford and Agness.
