Our board directors are residents of Coos and Curry counties who take an active role in shaping the direction of the health center and the progress of health care in our region.

Committees

Our volunteer committee members support Coast Community Health Center in making the best use of its fiscal resources, and they help us maintain connections with other community businesses and organizations.

  • Executive

    Our Board Development Committee ensures board membership, recruitment and retention is maximized with the best possible board members to support Coast Community Health Center.

      • Meets with prospective board members and recommends candidates to the board
      • Recommends a slate of officers to the board
      • Conducts orientation sessions for new board members and organizes training sessions for the entire board in conjunction with the executive director
      • Suggests new, non-board individuals for committee membership
  • Budget and Finance

    Our Budget and Finance committees is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the BCHC's annual budget–

      • Review monthly financials
      • Present financial reports to the Board of Directors
      • Review the annual audit, and Execute recommendations from the audit approved by the Board of Directors

  • Public Information and Outreach

    Our Public Information and Outreach Committee is responsible for ensuring the general public is well informed about health center programs and activities–

      • Ensure that the public has adequate input into the development and implementation of the health center
      • Organize and maintain a core of community volunteers to support activities
      • Implement programs and promotion of health center services
  • Health Services

    Our Health Services and Quality Committee is responsible for advising the Board of Directors on all matters related to QI/QA, including program feasibility and efficacy, quality standards and control and identification of new programs for development consistent with the health center's Mission and Strategic Plan.

  • Fundraising

    Our Fundraising Committee is responsible for raising funds needed to ensure the financial viability of the health center–

      • Establish annual and long-term fundraising goals based upon anticipated revenue needed to meet BCHC operating expenses and capital improvement
      • Solicit financial support from all available sources including Federal and State grants, private foundations and the general public
  • North Curry

    Our North Curry Committee is responsible for the oversight of the N. Curry Health & Wellness center formation and community engagement of patient advisory council.

      Together with CCHC senior management team, community members and other CCHC Board Appointed Committees, the North Curry Committee provides direct oversight for the development and execution of the facility and campus development.
  • Board Development

    Our Board Nominating committee ensures board membership, recruitment and retention is maximized with the best possible board members to support Coast Community Health Center.

      • Nominate the officers
      • Orient new board members to their duties as directors

      Membership: three to five directors, appointed by the chairperson

  • Quality Improvement – Quality Assurance

    Our Quality Improvement - Quality Assurance committee advances the organization’s mission, program goals, and concept of quality. The committee is lead by our medical director, who assumes responsibility for the quality of health services within the health center, and is supported by staff who directly affect services or have decision making responsibility.

      • Reports to the board as quality performance goals are achieved and on areas identified for improvement, with appropriate corrective action steps
      • Assess policy and procedures pertaining to clinical measures, staffing credentials, patient satisfaction, staff satisfaction, and other operational topics
      • Subcommittees: Safety, Patient Experience, Provider Oversight
